1999 West Chester, Pennsylvania

We took a long weekend trip to Philadelphia/West Chester KOA in Embreeville, Pennsylvania on Memorial Day weekend. While there, we spent a day at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Delaware, a really cool outdoor museum on the site of du Pont's first millworks in North America.

Our KOA campsite. We were camped in a section next to the West Branch Brandywine Creek. This picture does not really show just how crowded it was on Memorial Day weekend, but we were surrounded by other campers. The neighbors were great, except for the crew of very loud and very drunk campers across the street from us. It was fun watching them get thrown out of the campground.

Saturday night's dinner - two Cornish Game Hens cut up, then basted with Greta's Sesame-Soy Marinade and cooked on the Pigmy Propane Grill.  Yummy!

The millrace at the Hagley Museum.

The Millwright's Shop at Hagley, restored to 1870's configuration. Panoramic shot taken with the Kodak DC260 and stitched with Ulead Cool 360.

Keith and Scott get an idea of what school was like for the kids who lived at Blacksmith Hill, the millworker's town.

Another panorama shot - the pool at the KOA.

We fired up some giant sparklers with our neighbor's kids on Sunday night.
