Rocky Gap State Park, Cumberland, MD

      Rocky Gap State Park in Flinstone, Maryland (just east of Cumberland) is one of our family's favorite destinations. They have a large lake with a swimming beach, numerous hiking trails and great bike riding roads. The campsites are spacious and well separated from neighboring sites. There is only one electric loop, and we usually dry camp when we visit. It is beautiful in the fall.

      Lake Habeeb, Rocky Gap State Park. The campground is just beyond the trees you see to the left of middle in the picture. There is a swimming beach for registered campers that you can barely see. The public swimming beach is closer and just to the right of the middle of the photo. This picture was taken from the grounds of the new Resort and Golf Course.
