May, 2000 Trip to Point Lookout State Park, Maryland

In mid May, our family visited Point Lookout State Park in Southern Maryland. Although we were on the road by 3:00 PM, traffic from the DC area to the park was awful. I guess we'll have to start leaving earlier for these weekend getaways! While we were camped at Point Lookout, we visited the museum at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and enjoyed some great Southern Maryland seafood.

Our kids at the swimming beach. The water was a bit too cold for me, but they had fun!
