 The
Mid-Atlantic Popup Camper Enthusiasts
The Mid-Atlantic Popup Camper Enthusiasts are
a loose-knit group of campers that reside in the Mid-Atlantic region, including
Maryland, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The group was formed in May, 1999 and consists mostly of campers that met
on the Internet in the alt.rv.pop-up-trailers
Usenet newsgroup. We enjoyed our first group campout
at the Front Royal, Virginia KOA on October 8, 1999. More group campouts
are planned for the 2000 camping season.
Membership is open to anyone who enjoys family
popup camping and wants to meet other families in the area with the same
interest. Our group campouts are an opportunity for us to get together.
We use an eGroup mailing list to stay in touch with each other and discuss
upcoming trips. Our eGroup site also features a group calendar, where some
of us like to post upcoming trip dates so other campers in the area know
when we might be in the neighborhood.
